Sonos Beam uses a long, elliptical design and is a lot smaller than the PLAYBAR. Since the bass unit is integrated on its own and there is no subwoofer attached to the conventional TV Soundbar, spatial placement has little effect on it. Previously released PLAYBASE can be placed directly under the TV to reduce the impact of the placement space.
